Overview
Unihive is a marketplace for students to showcase their services and products. We aim to connect students with businesses that can help them with their studies. We also aim to help students find businesses that can help them with their studies.
We have gone a long way in making Unihive a viable product. We have a lot of potential to grow Unihive. We are currently working on a feature; ride sharing, which allow students to register as drivers and find drivers on Campus. We are very close to launch and we have an overall positive from our test users.
Highlights
Empowering businesses from University students to connect and share their services and product on our marketplace
Context
Students are simply half unemployed these days. College just saves their social status.
With the stress college poses on students (especally undergraduates), they to bring up business, projects, products and services that may just assist them financially or otherwise.
We primarily targeted SUIE students who had a plenty up their sleeves, from barbers and hairdressers, to uber drivers and phone retailers. We haven't even touched the campus events and group chats that may happen here.
Problem
More of a business than something else, We took months figuring out how to structure, design and impliment an all in one package.
There is an insane amount of businesses in SUIE. People had programmers, designers, photograph, cleaning,... you name it. The solution seemed out of hand given variety of these businesses
Given their situation, the outright majority of students could not hone their businesses to the open world standards (Amazon, Booksy,...) due to lack of time or target audience.
